At All Saints, our Christian vision is that, through the power of God’s love, children will reach their true potential and be able to live their lives with an open mind so that they learn from the world around them. Through our PSHE and Relationships Education curriculum, we support children to develop the knowledge, skills and understanding needed to lead confident, healthy and fulfilling lives whilst nurturing their wellbeing, character and personal development.
Our PSHE and Relationships Education curriculum is designed to provide children with the knowledge, skills and vocabulary needed to understand themselves and others, build positive relationships and make informed choices. Through the Kapow Primary scheme, learning is carefully sequenced through a progressive curriculum that enables pupils to revisit and build upon prior learning over time. This approach supports the development of emotional literacy, resilience, self-awareness and an understanding of how to stay safe and healthy in an ever-changing world.
We encourage children to reflect on their thoughts, feelings and actions, helping them to develop empathy, integrity and respect for others. Pupils learn about relationships, physical and mental wellbeing, personal safety and their rights and responsibilities within society. Through discussion, reflection and real-life contexts, children develop the confidence to express their views, make positive decisions and recognise the importance of treating others with kindness, dignity and respect.
As a Church school, our Christian vision and ethos underpin our approach to personal development and relationships. We encourage children to recognise the value and uniqueness of every individual and to understand the importance of compassion, forgiveness and service to others. Our close-knit school community provides opportunities for pupils to develop a strong sense of belonging, responsibility and respect for the diverse world in which they live.
In line with our school motto, Love, Live and Learn, we aim for children to develop a love of themselves and others through positive relationships, live healthy and responsible lives and learn the skills needed to navigate challenges with confidence and resilience. We want all children to leave All Saints with the confidence, knowledge and understanding to make informed choices, contribute positively to their communities and flourish as kind, thoughtful and responsible citizens, fulfilling their potential.
