Class 1 loved going on a pirate hunt. They had to read descriptions of pirates and then find the Pirates hiding on the playground! They have also written their own descriptions on Wanted posters.

To bring Class One's text to life this week, Mrs Parton paid us a visit on her beautiful motorbike! The children have been reading ‘Mrs Armitage on Wheels’ by Quentin Blake. In the story Mrs Armitage looks for an alternative mode of transport to her bicycle, Class One predicted what she would do next. The children were not expecting to find a 'real life' Mrs Armitage on the playground! Mrs Parton told them all about the parts of a motorbike and the children loved every minute. Thank you Mrs Parton!

As part of their Topic on People who help us, Class 1 had a visit from PCSO Poxon and PC Hall.
This week Class 1 had a visit from Paramedic Rob and his ambulance.
